Ancient Civilizations of the Sea. quick review
This game resembles & has similar features to "Civilization" by Avalon Hill, so if you were or are a fan of Civ, then you will likely enjoy this game, minus the trade cards and the trading of those cards, and no civilization cards to buy. However, the cards your dealt and play with, play a substantial role in the game. The game is a little chaotic in that, you will be slamming other players with bad events as they will be to you. So it's not a game where it's easy to plot & plan your turns and then walk away with the prize. On the other hand, there is so many of these cards being played against one another, it becomes just part of the game and no one seems to mind & leaves the players having fun with it. We play with the house rule that any "negate" card, can negate any card played rather than with the particular card's instructions. Played two games and each time we all had a good time. I'm glad I own this game and it will be coming back out of the closet again, I'm sure.

Captures the moment in history very well.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This movie captures this important part of the Revolutionary War and from what I know of this period and war, is pretty authentic. I was very impressed with Jeff Daniel's portrayal of George Washington. Strong, passionate, but in control of himself and the situation, even when things were going awry. This movie should be shown in classrooms.
