Fuji Finepix S5600

This is a lovely, easy to use camera which gives great results, especially on the "anti shake" mode. I wanted something easy to use, but with faster shutter speeds for sport. All the reviews I read about this camera were amazing and that is how I decided on this model, it lives up to all the promises. It's many options (shutter speeds and light settings) make it as flexible as the old SLR but it has the ease of any "point and shoot" digital if you prefer, with fabulous quality pictures. It is also very good on batteries. I am really pleased with my choice, it was excellent value for money. There is nothing to dislike about this model, other people find it odd that it does not have a view finder - why have a view finder when you are more likely to use the screen viewer anyway. My only disappointment with the camera is uploading photos to PC has to be done direct from the camera, not with a card reader. I was worried about using loads of batteries uploading direct from the camera but it wasn't as bad as I expected.

Does the job

Before buying these I tried making improvised ones but they either filled up with rainwater or the lids blew off. These cheap and cheerful little beer traps are great and definitely do the job. I've only tried the cheapest beer in them and had a good catch, but I suppose if you use something which is a little stronger it would attract more of the little blighters - they still prefer my courgettes than beer though so perhaps I need to put another trap the other side of my courgette plants. I'll have to buy some more. Definitely good value for money.

Great hoop to get you going and have a quick workout.

If you're new to hula hooping, or just can't do it like you used to, this hoop really does the trick. It takes a bit of getting used to as it feels quite heavy, and be prepared for a few bruises down your legs to start with, but I love it and you get a good workout very quickly. First time I used it it came apart and flung across the room so outside is better until you are sure all the joins are in tight unless you have a big empty space indoors. I stand on foam mats or the grass so the foam doesn't scuff when the hoop hits the floor. I'm really pleased with this hoop, it took me ages to decide what to buy and I would happily buy it again.
