Let down by awful plastic-ey varnish finish
I like the style of bracket, but unfortunately they are let down by the awful finish that has been applied to them. The finish appears very plastic-ey, a bit like Polyurethane varnish or something like that... pretty awful looking which really lets the brackets down. I only gave 3 stars as I am having to completely strip the varnish off and refinish them again in something more tasteful. I will strip them, re-heat them and finish with a good oil, such as linseed oil.
It is a real pity, as an awful lot of reasonable and even good quality items can be completely ruined in the finishing.... which I have discovered with these brackets.
I would suggest that you review how you finish these items.

Perfect for my restoration job.
Very happy with these hinges, they were absolutely perfect for my restoration job that I am doing. They are an exact size / fit for lost originals.... so work perfectly. I am so glad these quality hinges are still being made, as there is certainly demand for them.
