Simple yet powerful server with space and tools to cover every need.
I purchased this NAS to run as a personal "cloud" as I struggle with the idea of putting all my personal files in the hands of the corporations. So far so good in that through Buffalo's website I have immediate access to all of my files. The interface is user friendly although there have been a few teething problems with random error messages popping up. However, the device simplifies the process of using the NAS as a media server, backup device and file-store. For the really advanced user, there is a built in web server allowing this machine to host your website too. With a mammoth amount of storage and tools to cover every requirement, you cannot go far wrong with this small but powerful server in any environment. My only criticism is that when on, it louder than I would prefer. But that's a minor complaint.
