Save over 100 Pounds and gain 0.66 Pounds
As a keen amateur, I looked at this and the Carbon version and the decision as to which to buy was very easy. The Aluminium version carries the same weight of equipment and is a fraction taller when fully extended while the carbon version is lighter.
OK so far but when you look at the weight difference of the Aluminium version it is only 0.3kg heavier than the carbon version. Being of an age, I converted that 0.3 kg to imperial measure - 0.66lbs.
So I gained 0.66lbs in weight and saved over 100 Pounds sterling! No-brainer for me - I bought the aluminium version. It's still a feather-wight to my Manfrotto 055XPROB when out and about on the move.
Both excellent products.

Does exactly what it says on the label
Bought this for my new Nikon D500 and they don't get faster than that! Rapid fire at 10 frames per second for up to 200 frames at a time.
The camera has an SD port and an XQD port and is set up to record Fine JPEG to the SD card and RAW to the XQD - both at the same time. No problem at all. Well recommended so don't hesitate to buy.

Interesting inside information.
As ex-Vulcan ground crew I have to declare a vested interest but there is a lot to interest any aviation enthusiast. A fascinating insight into one of the world's best aircraft.
