The book to read about the US Navy in the South-Southwest Pacific Theater of Word War II
I have read many books about the naval war in the Pacific to include the Guadalcanal Trilogy, Frank's Guadalcanal and Morison's Naval history volumes of World War II. This book - Neptune's Inferno - is the best read regarding the campaign actions of the US Navy in the Southwest Pacific Theater that I have read in years. It not only gives an insight to the U.S. commanders involved from all the services, but it discusses Japanese and Allied commanders too. It gives personal first person accounts which put the reader in the middle of the action. In addition to the personal stories and strategies, this book gives the reader insights to naval technology and 'why' things happen on naval combatant ships of that era. Great book - I would recommend it as THE book to read if you only have time to read one book regarding this pivital battle. It is a great book and is easy to read.

A good song collection in one cd, but quality is not good
It is nice to have any Tom Lehrer recordings since he was very entertaining, an excellent performer. He was way ahead of his times with his visions and music. This compilation of four records is great since I didn't have to order/purchase four separate cd's, and I can listen to this one cd in my car during long road trips without having to change cd's out and in. However, the recording quality on some of the recordings is not good, to the point where when he talks and makes commentary prior to performing the songs I have a hard time trying to understand what was being said. That is important because much of what makes Tom Lehrer entertaining was his before song commentary. I was disappointed with the quality of the recordings or the quality of the transfer of the recordings.
