It was 26 inches long/ item not as advertised 24.5 inches long/ had to pay $10. to have it cut to a usable size.

Not as advertised. Not 24.5 inches was 26 inches long and unusable. Had to pay $10. to have it cut to the proper usable size.

I looked at a number of reels from very expensive to inexpensive reels. While fishing at Cape Cod Cannel I asked some of the other fishermen /woman present how they liked their equipment and most of them allowed me to make several casts. Based upon their recommendations and my hands on trial I determined that the Shimano Saragosa SW10000 was the reel I would like to get. I shopped around and located the best price from Otto's Tackle World in Australia. I placed the order and received it promptly. I recently got to use it and it was such a delight I sent away and got a second one (8000) for a lighter rod that I own. It has an extremely smooth crank that made reeling the line in a dream with and without a fish-on. I did a lot of research and highly recommend it. I matched the 10000 (50 lb Power Pro braid) with my Temple Fork GIS SCS 1106 H === My cast were right with the top group.
