Bench testing with a 11.8 volt power supply, the panel was bright, but after 30 seconds began to smoke, with surface temperature 160 degC in places, and the backing adhesive pad shrivelled up and came apart. After 60 seconds the soldered terminals melted and the wires came off. If this was not on the bench it could have started a fire. The item should be withdrawn. Photos provided.
