With great value comes great speed

This drive is excellent value and is super speedy - at least as good or better than my WD Blue. The heat sink is just a thin plate so I’m not sure how effective it might be, but my motherboard has its own heat sink so it’s no problem.

Pro-Ject Elemental Turntable

Lovely sound, bargain price

This is a very good sounding turntable at a great price. There’s no phono preamp built in so you’ll need to buy one, unless your amplifier has a phono input. I bought a Pro-Ject MM box for around £50 and I’m delighted with the sound. A minor niggle is that the on/off switch is in a fiddly place and it’s easy to knock the belt off if you’re not paying attention. Also, if you change the platter mat make sure you get a thin one eg 1.5mm or else the stylus won’t work properly. 3mm is too thick and the cartridge can touch the record at times. A new mat is a good plan as the felt one supplied can lift off with the record due to static.

Great find

Lots of places have run out of all 35mm film at the mo, so I was delighted to find this on eBay. Don’t take a chance on expired film when you can get this with a long expiry date
