Good fix for my 2005 Z4 keys.

Chose this battery because the tabs are in exactly the right place for the key of my Sept 2005 Z4, and it's a from a reputable manufacturer. The first one worked a treat, so I ordered another for the spare key and that worked just as well. Way cheaper than buying new keys from BMW! You need to be fairly confident with soldering, and a de-soldering pump (solder sucker) definitely makes it easier.

Well designed product, easy to install.

Yes, it's more expensive than some alternative switch boxes, but is a better design if your budget can stretch to it. Informative indicator leds. Proper cable clamps rather than just relying on the cable gland. Completely detachable front panel and circuit board to make wiring easier. Plate for wall or post mounting without drilling into the box. Spare fuses inside. It was easy to install, and seems well-built enough to last.
