Pros: Many uses and compatible Lionel products...but not scale. Cons: Lack of compatibility with other Mfgs. Products
While these containers are Not true 1:48 Scale, (actually closer to 1:64 or s-scale, if you measure them out out) they work with a great deal of Lionel products such as the 6-12852 trailer chassis for which their are many cabs, the plethora of maxi stack cars that have been produced, 2 of the containers work with the Lionel Mi-Jack crane. The cons would be if you’re a true o-scale collector/operator or if you want these to work with any other brand(Atlas, Weaver, MTH railking or Premier, ROW, Menards) as these Lionel containers are specifically made for the Lionel Mi-Jack crane hence there smaller dimensions.

Classic Marx w/ Great Trucks!
Classic tin litho Marx withtilt couplers AND slot! Love the UP Merchandise Challenger. Bigger box car than other Marx but that’s part of what makes it so appealing! 3/16 scale but on O trucks and doesn’t look out of place running with tab slot 6 inch, scale 3/16 inch(with the smaller trucks) or other tab/slot. Trains. Even run it with prewar German and Ives! Great product !
