An Excellent Gene Krupa Collection
Covers a wide span of the Gene Krupa big band recordings (from around 1938 to 1949) plus some trio recordings from 1944 and 45. Putting aside the early material, which is interesting from a historical perspective, but not really great music, the Krupa band may be the most underrated big band of the 40s. It really swung, had some great vocalists (in particular, Anita O'Day) and eased into the bop era gracefully. Except for the last 2 tracks, which do not seem to fit in the context of this collection, CD #4 is a delightful surprise.

Not Quite Perfect
I own the real thing - a 2021 Toronto Red BMW M4 Competition, so I purchased this 1/18 model to commemorate my ownership. The model is excellent and looks just like my car with one exception. The red color is too dark and does not fully capture how unique Toronto Red is. Other than that, I love the model.

A Hidden Gem
Charlie Ventura was an underrated tenor sax player. This 4 cd compilation provides an excellent overview of some of his best work. Good fidelity for the most part. Highly recommended.
