Works great on my early-2011 MBP 17"
As soon as I inserted the card, macOS Sierra (10.12.3) recognized it and displayed in in the status bar as ready to use. System report shows I now have 2 USB 3.0 ports. Using the BlackMagic Disk Speed Test app, my external USB 3.0 HDD connected via the card showed read/write speeds of ~100/100 MB/s (vs. ~32/27 via USB 2.0) and my external SSD (which is actually the stock SSD I replaced with a Samsung 850 EVO) showed read/write speeds of ~220/176 MB/s, which is the same speeds it registered via my computer's internal SATA 3.0 connection.
Only downside are that it requires macOS recognition to work, so you can't boot from a HDD or SSD connected via the card. Also, if you aren't careful you disconnect pull out the card when unplugging cords from the ports...but that's just the nature of any expresscard.
All-in-all, I'm extremely happy with the item and excited to update my computer to finally have USB 3.0 ports.

Works great
I used it to connect an HDD to my network for use as network attached storage accessible via WiFi and it’s great. I consistently get about 20-25 MB/s read and 17-19 MB/s write speeds.

Works perfectly
After reading instructions on Verizon's site, I was expecting to have to register and activate the router and then wait it out while the router configured itself. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that immediately after plugging it in and connecting to coaxial cable the lights began to flash and within 2-3 minutes or so it established an internet connection and began broadcasting wifi. It was super easy to access the settings page to change the wifi name and settings.
We pay for a 50/50 Mbps Fios internet connection. On the previous router ( Actiontec MI24WE Rev I) the wifi (2.4ghz) was clocked at ~45/48 Mbps. With the G1100 Gateway we're getting average speeds of 58/64 Mbps on the 5 Ghz network!!! The 2.4 Ghz network is a tad slower but the difference is minimal (plus we only have streaming devices on the 2.4Ghz; our phones and computers are kept on the 5 Ghz).
I can't comment on the range because our apartment is small and we have the router hooked up on an external wall directly behind a flat screen TV so it's out-of-sight (which obviously isn't good for signal strength), so I don't think it's fair to say much.
Overall I'm extremely happy with the G1100 and very happy we upgraded.
