Good enough for the price paid
Condition generally good, but the front right hand buffer was missing. The tank filler hatch handles were also damaged, although that is very minor.
It runs well in reverse, but forwards it is very noisy and not completely smooth.
For the low price which I paid, however, it is satisfactory.

Sony RCD-W100 CD recorder
This unit offers the same sound quality as the Phillips equivalent which I previously had, but with generally more convenient operating features. For example, it stays in recording mode for about 3 minutes, which is much better for recording radio programmes. Also, the track number increment function can be permanently set so that it ignores quiet or silent passages in the source material. The use of dials instead of buttons for some purposes is easier on the fingers,too. I have had no difficulty in this machine with either new Maxell or old TDK CD-RW discs, although the latter have some scratches.
My one criticism is of the display. The recording levels are too small, and information concerning Deck A is positioned above that for Deck B, rather than to the left, which is the more obvious layout.
In appearance it is very smart and eye catching, and looks the part as a high quality audio product.

Useable, but I've had better for similar price
A brightly coloured product. Very big, but with a very small display ! I only want a stop watch, so can't comment on the other functions. The stop watch buttons are poor; too often one press fails to start a timing, or operates the timer TWICE, so one's timing starts AND STOPS ! I've improved it somewhat by opening it up and pulling the button spring closer to the button.
