Draper 78592 Replacement Tip for 61478 40w Soldering Station

Good replacement tip, but .......

The tip is of good quality and worth the money. It'sa shame that Draper don't make more styles of tip for this soldering station, because it would make it much more versatile.

Nice Sound, Pretty Looking and Good Value

I put a matched set of three pickups into a refinished strat. The adjusting screws are very long, and I had to bore some holes into the body of the guitar to make them fit (it was easier than cutting through the screws themselves). The pickup wires are protected by thick sleeving, which I thought will help protect the wire). As well as the live and earth wire, each pickup has an extra ground, which I have soldered to the back of the volume pot. I don't know if this is really necessary, but I do know that the resulting sound is buzz-free. The overall tone of the guitar is very nice indeed. With the pickups close to the strings, they give a smooth mid-range sound with not too much top-end and just enough clarity at the bottom. The sound is ok for clean amp settings, although I think they might be a little lacking for metal. At the price, they are a very good buy.

Good option if not using a scratchplate.

The plastic material is good quality, the surrounds are the right size. Delivery (from China) was earlier than expected.
