At once a bit weird but entertaining movie, starring the always professionally reliable, elegant, and admirable Kate Lyn Sheil!
I bought this film because of Kate Lyn Sheil, who is one of the best and most beautiful actresses in the world. She has a very special, unmistakably soft tone voice and speech style. She can play anyone and anything, and here she plays an introverted young woman Beth, who does physical work at a sausage company's shipping department. She is a sole woman there, she is forced to listen to the jokes and lame wooing of her male colleagues. At home she lives with her sick mom, who doesn't do housework, just sleeping, or watching Julia Roberts films from VHS tapes. Beth also has a brother, who doesn't work, can't drive a car, just sits at home, and makes "art", a life-size Lego sculpture about their late father, for example. Therefore Beth forces to provide for her family members as well. She is lonely, anxious, mostly morose, anxiously smoking cigarettes alone, outside the warehouse, when she accidentally overheard a talk as a young blonde woman arguing with someone through a cell phone. This is Kendra, an impulsive, giddy, wordy chick, who notices Beth's attention, she starts chatting with her, and like a whirlwind turns upside down Beth's boring, solitude life. Beth falls completely under Kendra's influence and falls in love with her after one night together. But Kendra isn't steady, she easily changes her partners, thus she is seduced by Beth's male colleague, when they go into the pub. The conflict is ready, but Beth's reactions are not conventional. Stop the spoiler, start watching! So, this is an indie or "arthouse" movie, without CGI, shootout, big blasts, or fast cars. But I recommend it to everyone, who can appreciate exceptional acting, unusual storyline, wry humor, and deeply human feelings. I bought this item because of the covergirl Mia Wasikowska, who is one of my favorite actresses. I have had this report and interview in digital form for a long time, but a printed magazine is a very different case: a tangible object, with beautifully printed, realistic (non backlit) images. So I love it so much! I'm more than happy to get it in mint condition, and at the correct price. Thank you all!
