Very Effective Strainer
I use mine to make various jellies from what would otherwise be homemade jams. It is highly effective.
The mesh net holds a lot more than you would think from the picture. I've had a large saucepan of pears for example plonked in the strainer.
The metal parts are stainless steel, so no problem with rust. The strainer mesh is well made, double stitched on the seam and the elasticated top appears to be well made.
The hooked ends are supposed to grip the rim of a bowl which the liquid will drain into, but this isn't easy to get stable. I found it best to use a saucepan with handles on the rim that I could jam the metal hooked feet into. You should experiment ahead of time and not use it till you've found a stable solution for yourself. Otherwise it could slip off the bowl and deposit hot jam everywhere.
The mesh is quite remarkable for not picking up stains from the fruit you use. It washes perfectly clean under the tap, even with elderberries.

This case is exactly what the new iPad needs. It is extremely light but does not seem at all flimsy.
