Awesome, super capable speakers!
I bought a pair of these DBR12 speakers to use for occasional DJing and band use, as well as listening to music at my house since I like loud music. After doing research on several other brands of PA speakers of similar size and power, it just made so much more sense to get the Yamaha, especially since I know how good Yamaha is with basically everything they make and I've had great experiences with their products. My first impression after unboxing was that they are very visually appealing and well constructed, and have a very nice weight to them. Let's just say I was blown away at the volume and sound quality these things have when I listened for the first time! I was able to turn the volume all the way up with no distortion or clipping whatsoever and they took it like it was nothing, I wouldn't be concerned about doing it for hours straight. Another thing I like is that they have cooling fans in the amplifiers to keep them cool which is nice if you use them outside or for a very long time. For the price, there's no way you'll find a better speaker, and I would 100% recommend without hesitation, you won't be disappointed with these Yamaha speakers. Another thing to mention is that I have had a lot of experience using DBR10s as well, and think they are excellent especially for their size and price. They are actually what turned me on to the DBR series and I knew from using those that the DBR12s wouldn't disappoint me.
