Underrated gem.
Wonderful album, a low key delight with short, understated and beautiful songs.

Wonderful compilation of a glorious era.
The ‘ American Heartbeat ‘series is excellent. There are separate compilations for each year from 1955 to 1962 , each one expertly compiled. This set covers the whole decade of the 50s . There’s a wide range of songs from easy listening to jazz and of course plenty of rock n roll. You get a true feeling of a bygone age in which pop music was an glorious and unstoppable force. The packaging is a huge bonus .

Wonderful album
Wonderful album. I remember having it on vinyl when growing up and I couldn’t stop playing it . Lean on me and Chenko are two of the finest singles of the 80s. Red Box are one of the great ‘ lost ‘ talents of British pop. They never fulfilled their potential , although their 2010 album Plenty is excellent.
