Foxfire Books 7
I have been collecting the Foxfire Book series for several years and each one is compelling in its own right. However, having the entire collection up to this point, (12 Volumes) gives and entire new meaning to knowing about "Just Plain Living", and how to survive with very little. What started out as a class assignment in an Appalachia high school has become a valuable lesson in life itself. I would recommend this series highly to researchers, history buffs and survivalists alike.

Excellent for research
Myths of the Cherokee is true to form. Written by one of the many authors who sought to preserve what they thought was a vanishing people and culture. I have heard these stories all my life and have repeated them many times over the years to my relations, friends and anyone else interested in how people were taught to be friendly, but cautious and ever vigilant in maintaining their native roots and heritage. Every story has a lesson and a moral to life. Great reading for everyone and gives the reader a glimpse into Cherokee life as it was and still is for millions of Cherokee descendants today.

Foxfire Series, book #12
So far, this is the last in the series of 12 Volumes and I have been collecting the Foxfire Book series for several years with each one compelling in its own right. However, having the entire collection up to this point, (12 Volumes) gives an entire new meaning to knowing about "Just Plain Living", and how to survive with very little. What started out as a class assignment in an Appalachia high school has become a valuable lesson in life itself. I would recommend this series highly to researchers, history buffs and survivalists alike or anyone who wants to know more about how we managed to live life without relying on a magnitude of electronics governing our lives.
