Very handy to catch dirt!
I purchased one rug, then liked it so much I bought another. After 25 years, we put hardwood floors in the living room. These rugs are placed so that they are the first thing I step on when I'm entering my living room from the kitchen or basement. They trap a lot of dirt! I washed one for the first time today with dryer on low for 50 minutes. It was dry and ready for use when I took it out :)

talking spell checker
I'm a special education teacher. This spell checker is outstanding. It allows students to be independent when writing and gives me opportunities to discuss how to spell words the way they sound (phonetically) and other ways to spell sounds if the first try didn't work. It makes spelling become valuable to students, too.
Also, because it has the "speak" feature, if they encounter a word that they don't know when reading, they can type it into the spell checker and have it "speak" the word to them. They can check the definition with an easy push of the "enter" button.
I wish I could afford to give one of these to each of my students so they could read at home every night.
