Real deal
As far as I can tell, this appears to be a genuine replacement part. Fit and worked great.

Love it, but wish it would last longer
Functionally, this is a great phone case that lets you carry your id, credit cards and other important items without having to carry a full purse or wallet. The leather is nice, and it works well protecting the phone when dropped. Unfortunately, the plastic that attaches the phone into the case doesn't survive well, and both of the 2 cases in our household have been replaced after about 12 months use. Case Mate no longer carries this model, so despite having a lifetime warranty, we had to replace it with a different model or buy a replacement on eBay ourselves.
