Dual Rank - Kinda Rank...
0 von 1 finden das hilfreich One AMD mobo handles four sticks at rated speed, the other will only boot with three, or turned down to 1333 MHz. Four Single Rank sticks from two other makers run just fine in both. Kinda hard to believe these get so much good press, considering the lower level build quality. Confirmed with Passmark.

Windows 8.0 is Pretty, but Sister 8.1 is Nicer
Windows 8 is pretty enough, but switching between programs isn't just a minimize and grab the next. PITA, in my opinion. But, if you want to use MS Media Center (only $9.99 additional), or Bitlocker or Domain logon, etc., then you will want Pro over Home.
When updated to SP 8.1, she is a lot friendlier. Worth the effort, but be aware that it doesn't work for everyone first time. Oh, and it easily takes around an hour. Fresh I had no problem, all tricked out on the old HTPC box I'm still trying to figure it out. Mircosoft and the forums not much help.
If you buy open package or 'like new', you are assuming the previous owner hasn't put the key into the 'wild'. Maybe ask before you bid. Pro OEM isn't supposed to move, let alone be on more than one PC at a time. Automated phone connect remember to say 'none' or 'zero'. If that doesn't work, tell them the mobo blew up. Been there, ...

CAN be made to work at 1600 on AMD systems
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich XMP only way to reach 1600 automatically, JEDEC set for 1333 max. Requires manual settings of timings if motherboard doesn't support XMP. Most important setting for the manual approach appears to be setting tRC to 41; POST, Memtest and PRIME95 are happy after that. Single Rank, so can work with FX series CPU memory controller in four sockets at full speed. Woot!
