Finally making good espresso
5 von 6 finden das hilfreich For years I have made coffee and espresso's with my Jura Z5 fully automatic machine and have been very happy with it. When I go to our neighborhood coffee shop a get a latte, it has much more flavor than what I am making at home so I decided to try a manual machine. I researched many different machines and decided on the Breville 870 for two reasons. One, it had very good reviews and second, I did not wish to spend thousands of dollars on a manual machine to fined out it was not better than my Jura. After about a week of practice I have gotten pretty good at making a good espresso but still need some work on my latte art, although it is getting better. One of the hardest things to get the feel for is making adjustments for different beans. I started out with a 2lb bag of Starbucks beans that I purchased at Sam's. When I got better at making a proper espresso I changed over to using the beans that I roast at home. I have been roasting at home for about 15 years. I like a lighter roast that Starbucks and I fine it makes a much better tasting espresso. The coarseness of grid and the volume changes greatly from one bean to the next so this took some practice. It is very important to tap the portafilter on the table top a couple to three times before you tamp it with the tamper. It is very important to be consistent to make a good espresso each time. I would highly recommend this machine to anyone who really like good coffee and is willing to do a little extra to get it.

Nice open box item. New in Box for a great price. Works great so far and no reason to feel that I will not last.

Good Soda Siphon!
Works well. Would like the water to have more carbonation but it taste great and work for most drinks.
