3D Versions of Tai Chi Zero and Tai Chi Hero
Though I didn't have time to watch the movies from start to finish, I did skip through both films while in 3D mode. The prints seem decent if not perfect (a bit of moire) and I had seen the 2D versions of both before. They aren't brilliant, but contain enough entertaining ideas, clever fight moments, and steam punk devices to have made viewing worthwhile. As for the 3D itself, that's another matter. The quality is varied, with some moments too subtle, some just fine, but definitely some terribly done where people's heads appear to be pulling away from the background during movement or action. I've been told that this was an issue with some early 3D conversion, and it's fairly extreme here. As I haven't watched the entire film(s) yet, I don't know how bad of a distraction it is, but I'll give it a try soon. Still, an interesting duo of films in 2D or 3D, not a bad price, and, for me, worth owning.

Dark little animated revenge tale
From a physical media collectors perspective, the disc comes in a nice steel case with one of the better lenticulars that I’ve seen. As a movie it’s a mixed bag. The story is NOT kid friendly and includes rape, violence, physical abuse of a pregnant woman, and other unpleasantries. It’s a dark little tale about some teen mutant misfits who, once found by an adult with the same powers, go on a violent revenge spree. There’s more to it, some of it worthwhile. I wish I could say that the characters were drawn with subtlety and realism, but they tend to react in cartoonish extremes. The animation is just ok at best. All those negatives aside, though, it does have a sort of mesmerizing quality that kept me watching, as well as an interesting moodiness. Reminds me of the Marvel series The Gifted.

Never Say Never Again on Blu-Ray import
As I'd purchased the James Bond collection on Blu-Ray, I wanted to have the few movies that weren't included, which are basically Never Say Never Again, the original Casino Royale, and the Bond TV movie. NSNA does not appear to be available on Blu-Ray in the US, so this is one of the few options for purchase. Though I haven't yet watched the movie from start to finish, I have skipped through the video and all seems to be well... The disk plays on insert, it defaults to English with no subtitles, and no skipping occurred. As for the print quality, I didn't have time to view it in any detail, but it seems sufficient. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.
