"Pocket sized" Version of Mark's
If you were looking for a "pocket sized" version of Mark's Standard Handbook for Mechanical Engineers, you found it in the Engineering Manual by Perry. What you will find in Mark's, you will most surely find it in Perry's. In fact, some of the some of the charts and drawings in Perry's match those found in Mark's. An overall good engineering reference.

Excellent Energy Book
Although this book was written in the mid-1970's, it still serves as an excellent reference for energy production in all sectors. Solar, wind and fossil fuel power are mentioned along with the now popular higher alcohol fuels (ethanol, butyl, etc.). As I understand it, this text is still cited even today.
