Excellent motor speed controller for DC motors

Am using this controller on a 24 volt permanent magnet motor that drives the feed screw on the bed of an antique milling machine. Using another of the same PWM controller to drive a 12 volt permanent magnet motor for the cross-slide on the same machine. The PWM provides a smooth response and a repeatable setting. Motors don't jerk, they operate at low speed with adequate power. My only wish is that the readout indicated the actual % motor rpm versus showing the setting of the pot. Yes, I realize that feature would require some form of feedback loop from the motor, driving the cost of the controller up significantly. For my application, these units provide great control at a very reasonable cost. And yes, I did buy a spare just in case.

Great book for the beginning vertical mill operator.

Practical projects are well explained through text and crisp b&w photos. Each learning within a project leads to the next and tasks are repeated as the projects become more difficult. Repetition is a great teacher. All projects becoming usable tools for future machining work. Projects include tee nuts, angle plate, clamps, squaring and alignment devices, boring head, simple dividing head, and grinding rest usable for sharpening milling cutters. Length of each subject is not drawn out, practical experience including errors made by the author are included with solutions for the errors. Safe work practices are included in every chapter.

Excellent addition to Liftmaster gate system

A great electronic addition to my Liftmaster gate actuator system that allows use of existing 390 mHz remotes (older Craftsman door openers). Easy to install and connect. Verified it's connectivity through phone call with Liftmaster.technician.
