The Bloodstar Conspiracy by E.E. Doc Smith (Paperback, 1978)
Being a fan of E.E. Doc Smith's Lensman Series I decided to purchase his Family D'alambert Series of novels
The Bloodstar Conspiracy is a well written sci/fi tale of derring do and intrigue by those two intrepid SOTE Secret Agents Periwinkle and Wombat who were the stars of the SOTE's secret weapon the Circus.
In this adventure they're up against another of Lady A's devilish plots which always seem to have hidden agendas. This time in her attempt to take over the Empire she will use the Empress's wedding to wipe out the Stanley dynasty.

Empire: Book 1 : Wounds of Honour
Found this author purely by accident, glad I did!
If you're into historical adventure and intrigue stories then this is one for you.
As once I started reading this novel which is actually #1 of series of novels titled Empire.
You'll find out how just enthralling this novel is once you get into the story, which, is quite historically accurate except for odd parts which the author explains to why at the end of each story. I heartily recommend this novel and the whole series which I have begun to acquire and read...

Virus (DVD 2001)
Not bad for a 'End of the World is Nigh' movie.
Credible and believable story of what could happen.
Only thing lets this down is the quality of the picture, as it's not been digitally re-mastered as yet. So expect a slight fuzziness when viewing on a digital TV, doesn't cause much of a distraction as the storyline will keep you engrossed.
All in all an enjoyable movie to watch.
