A Matrix reminiscent world that is wondrous to behold.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich A boldly constructed wonder with plenty of, as one character describes it, "paradoxical architecture." Flaws aside, there's a lot to like about Inception and Nolan keeps his eye on the ball throughout. Taken at theatrical value, this tale of purposeful memory-travel is a fun and exciting trip into the creative subconscious. A brain-twister to be sure. But the fact that the plot demands attention only adds to the exhilaration. This is a story about dreams that requires the audience to stay awake. That's right ... don't blink. If you ned more popcorn then hit pause. Way too much going on here for missing a beat, but that also adds to the re-watch value. This is one of those films that you'll discover even more when watching the second and third time. Good news is it's entertaining enough to see again. Bad news is the story is heady enough to lose some viewers. More on the entertainment value: The action set pieces are spectacular. One scene involved a gravity-impaired face off in a rotating hallway within a Matrix reminiscent world that is wondrous to behold.

Campaign strategy meets detailed action at a fun, engaging and languid pace
Wow, this game is a lot to digest. Fun and rewarding for those who enjoy a combination of strategy and action in a simulator setup, but ... don't expect to turn this game on and play immediately. Fortunately, there are tutorial options in the beginning. Even those are time consuming. At the end of the day, Battle Stations Pacific has depth and detail with a lot of engaging levels. However, it takes time to learn and much more to complete this follow-up to Battle Stations Midway. If you've played the Midway game and liked it then this one has even more to offer. Takes a bit longer to conquer, has more involved scenarios and now you can play the Japanese side in a story-line campaign mode as well. If ya need a first person shooter that's quick and easy then this may not be the game for you. But if you're a chess type with a thirst for learning and a hunger to be deeply involved as a game unfolds then you've come to the right place, especially if you appreciate history. A variety of campaigns await you ... Enjoy!

Great Movie, but not enough 3D to "wow" us ...
1 von 3 finden das hilfreich A fantastic big screen sensory experience with more spectacular stunts and a little more emotional currency than the first film. For those who saw its predecessor, Tron Legacy is a fun sequel. However, I've heard that the 3D aspect was an afterthought and I believe it. What better opportunity to take advantage of 3D than a tech movie like this which is loaded with CGI? So, why isn't it loaded with 3D? We watched the 3D version at the theater and now on Bluray as well. Enjoyable sequel, but disappointing lack of 3D when advertised as more. Indeed, we thought this was a great movie. But there was simply not enough actual 3D to "wow" us when such incredible potential existed to capitalize on it here.
