Network expansion by extra phone does not work
Despite the single supplementary phone being exactly the same model as my present Panasonic set-up, it did not connect to the network. In theory it should, but it does not. One other comment: the handset does come with the special batteries, so that is an extra expense.
In conclusion, a new triple or quadruple set of phones is cheap enough, so it is not worth running the risk of incompatibility by trying to expand a system.

Look no further.
Compact and unobtrusive, but as loud as you could wish, with a great range of tunes. We even chose different tunes for the two units. This is the best WiFi bell

Suspect manufacturing standards.
I've used it only three times, but this time it burnt out with a flash when plugged in. No battery had been inserted. It recurred when fitted with a new fuse in the plug. No adverse conditions (moisture etc) were present: cheap Chinese manufacture is the cause, visible on the motherboard.
