Compact, sturdy unit!
I bought this saw to cut material for my business, machining small parts out of C360 brass. I previously had to order material and cut it using a third party's cold saw (about $4K) at their location, so I was a little spoiled after using their high-end machine, but new circumstances required that I cut my own material.
Strong reviews prompted me to take a chance on this saw and I was Not disappointed! The first task was to make 65 cuts on 1.5" round brass and although the supplied 14" blade was for ferrous material (iron, steel), it worked great on brass as well. No heat build-up and very little burr on the edge. This saw performed great!
A well-built, sturdy unit. Heavy cast base, comfortable safety handle and shield, as well as an adjustable material clamp. The only advice I offer is to shield off the surrounding areas with plastic sheeting because the chips really fly! Also- remember to empty the chip tray (accessible on the back of the base). It can fill up rather fast when cutting solid material.
Update: I purchased a 14" saw blade specifically for non-ferrous material (Aluminum, brass) hoping for better results- There was no significant difference cutting C360 brass. In fact, the wider cutting teeth made even bigger chips than the original supplied blade. So I put the original blade back on and will see what kind of life-span it gives me. So far so good. I cut another load of brass last week (80 cuts) and the blade shows no signs of wear. I'm very happy with this saw!

A shame Nickent went under- they made some outstanding clubs!
I've had the 4DX Evolver drivers since they came out. Nice, nice sticks at a great price! But I was totally blown away when I got the matching 4DX 7 and 5 fairway metals- they are without a doubt the easiest-to-hit fairway metals I've tried. Now this 3 metal I've won has filled out my set of Nickents, that is unless I happen upon a Nickent 4 fairway metal!

Excellent time saver!
0 von 1 finden das hilfreich Instead of using your 10-15 year old original install disk of XP, spend the extra money and get this version of Windows XP with Service Pack 3. Not only is it easy to install and activate (by phone is easiest), but all the important updates are already there. I purchased this for use on a shop computer that runs software that only works on XP. So far, no problems!
