Excellent lightweight security
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I use these for securing my game cameras bc I don't want sticky fingers to get them. Works great. One tip to remember, take your keys to a reliable locksmith (not the big box type either, an actual locksmith shop) and have them make you three copies on brass blanks. The factory keys on these locks are a cheap metal and will twist off if you're heavy handed or if the lock is a bit stuck from the elements, cold weather, or moisture. Place your spares in a safe location and if you lose one you'll always have backups.
I twisted a key on one I purchased from Amazon and it sheared off inside the lock. I retrieved the piece with a small pair of tweezer type pliers. I immediately took the second key to my local locksmith and got three brass spares cut from the second key that was included. Also one to two small drops of 3 in 1 oil will help prevent rust in the cylinders inside the lock itself.
