Completionists get the shaft while casual listeners are only left more confused
Who are The Heart of Gold Band? What is the significance of the name? If you don't already know the answer to both, you may wonder why you're listening to a themeless mashup of uneven studio cuts and live recordings that sound like a house band at a Colorado Springs hookah bar taped on a Radio Shack portable cassette deck. If you are familiar with HGB, the appeal of this two-fer combo CD is probably to get both albums and, with them, all tracks released under this name which include Keith Godchaux in the last year of his life. In true Relix form, to make room for a single disc, two of the tracks from HGB's 7/10/80 show (the only show Keith performed live with the band) are cut. Of all the tracks they saw as expendable, the Hunter/Garcia original Gommorah and Show Boat, a vehicle Keith and Donna had developed for their live act during the Dead's '75 hiatus, seem like especially tone-deaf choices.
The Satan hunter by Robert L. Powers; Thomas W. Wedge

Tom Wedge hunts Satan in every corner of every Burger Chef in Ohio
A fun ride if you keep a skeptic eye. Wedge is a con man and an overall walking punchline from the Satanic Panic. Those who enjoy watching such people practice their craft behind the safety of print (and 33 years of hindsight as of this writing) will appreciate this otherwise garbage compilation of 1980's Slender Man stories.
