Cuisine at new heights

I actually decided to order this book for a friend who married into a Chinese family where the mother is a renowned chef. I began to read it just before Christmas and couldn't put it down. My friend had to wait until after Christmas to get it as a gift. The depth of knowledge that Mones has is incrediable. She takes you to a whole new understanding of the cuisine and culture of China. The concept of making a dish just for texture...unknown in the west. The idea of eating alone...unknown in the east. Just a delightful read. I thought it couldn't get any better than her previous book 'A Cup of Light' which I have already ordered several copies of for friends. And it seems I'll be ordering more of this one too. Just get a copy and enjoy!

For teachers and parents

This author has written several books on this topic for different audiences. His perspective is one that all educational systems need to incorporate. Basically, he has identified 7 ways that an individual may be able to learn a given topic. Most people have at least 2-3 ways that they can gather information. But, unfortunately, our educational system only uses about 3 of the 7 available. So this book helps parents identify through which path their child learns and may help them to present information to them to advance. Also, a parent will have the information to help reform the educational system for their community.
