Brilliant Secatuers spoilt by a simple design fault.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This is undoubtedly an excellent product, sharp, easy to use and feels good ergonomically. So why only give it 3 stars ? For one reason only, when removing the blade for sharpening or replacement, it is very difficult to reassemble.
The blade is held in place by a small bolt which is itself held in place by a very small & flimsy clip rather than a nut that can be tightened.
The small & flimsy clip is very difficult to secure.
A small modification would make these secateurs brilliant, I am surprise that Spear & Jackson produce a brilliant product with such a bad design fault.

Exactly what I wanted, a good range zoom. A good compromise between,size, weight and the 18-135 range.

Perfect replacement for the original apart from the price.
I bought this to replace the identical original Ideal Standard Seat. I contacted Ideal Standard who informed that this item was discontinued in December last year and was no longer availabke from them so I searched the internet as you do and found this one.
It was an outrageous price (£165) for what it was but I knew it would fit so decided to proceed as I felt this was better than an after market that might not fit or work as well.
I was not been disappointed, it arrived promptly, well packaged and was exactly as described, fitted perfectly and looks as good as the original as you'd expect. The only issue I have was the price but I also understand the workings of supply and demand !
