I like it but...
The lens is ok, it’s fast and very sharp. Ok, now the but... I don’t like that the variable aperture is only at certain focal lengths. For instance you can’t have a 2.8 aperture for all focal lengths (17-70) or 4.5 aperture for all focal lengths (18-70). Other than that my client loved the pictures taken with this lens on my Nikon D7100.

Works great but…
This works great. The item did exactly what I wanted it to do. It save me money by not having to buy a macro lens for my camera. But the rings do not fit snugly to my camera. I knew this only from the reviews that I read prior to purchase. But I bought it away. I’m using this item on a tripod taking a flat-lay photo, also with remote control shutter release so it’s not so bad. If I were using it handheld shooting flowers or insects in the woods, I would not use it. I would be afraid of it messing up my camera mount because of the constant very slight movement. The red color looks great on the camera, looks like it belongs on the camera.
