Limited scope of use
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich Due to absense of drivers the scope of use is very limited, it works out of the box in Ubuntu should work with Solaris, doesnt work in pfsense freenas etc . Please note that there are two versions of card the cheaper ones are not intel based as you may think, doing some googling or reading oracle manuals, they are based on Neterion xFrame chipset and finding drivers for it may become a real headake. In addition take attention to cooling aspects the chipset becomes too hot after few minutes of use.

Not optimal speed 10k 2.5" SAS HDD
Comparing to oher Seagate 6Gb/s 10k sas HDDs this model is a bit more slow: only about 130MB/s in linear read test, at the beginning of the drive, instead of 150+MB/s typical speeds and seems to be producing more heat, which is not good.
