Every Ham Shack needs one!
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich It occurred to me one day, after buying a number of vintage transceivers, that I didn't have a calibration source to set-up my test gear accurately. After lots of investigations and reading, I discovered the joys of GPSDO's. There's lots of old and expensive secondhand gear out there, often using strange voltages for power supplies and requiring very specific voltage GPS antennas, which were both separate purchases.
This unit comes with everything (albeit the mains adapter is american two pin oblong connectors, but the adapter is multi-voltage and works properly with a suitable UK mains plug socket adapter.
The build quality is simply excellent. I left the GPSSO running for a few days before calibrating a nice frequency counter. The counter was a little out by 26.6Hz and the GPSDO is accurate to 0.0005 of a Hz or thereabouts!
Worth every penny - buy one!

DAT - The best recording medium
DAT - Digital Audio Tape - Remains probably the best recording media in the last 27+ years.
Never bettered. MiniDisc was more reliable but was compressed. DAT could record at a higher but rate than CDs.
DAT recorders deserve the best tapes and Sony’s were leaders in DAT development and DAT tape.

The ‘classic’ Behringer SRC2000
Works a treat, provides multi-digital standards and cross interfacing. Removes copy protection on a digital stream, so very useful for recording digital radio. This one was priced sensibly but was expensive to import with duty and postage, plus I needed a step-down transformer as this unit was 110v fixed. There’s a newer model which has many more features and is cheap too, the SRC2496.
