Journey takes an unexpected creative turn, and a welcome one.
This is not your dad's Journey, my friends. The band takes some commercial risks with a heavier, more intricate sound. At the time, they were with Columbia, and they would not release "Red 13", so the band released it themselves. I would have liked a full album of the "Red 13" material, but I'll settle for this fantastic EP. I hope that, with new singer Arnel Pineda, they revisit this adventurous sound.
