Casting problem - the altar is warped
This is the second one of these I've purchased. I returned the first to the local hobby shop. When this one arrived with the same problem, I tried to contact Reaper but, so far, no response. My guess would be that the mold has a defect. The bottom of the altar is bowed: one end bows upward, creating a gap of 1/8"-3/16" under the altar.
I really wanted this for an upcoming Pulp Alley game, so rather than return it, I used a band saw and grinder to get rid of most of the gap. Whatever shows after painting it, I'll cover up with however I base the altar.

typical mdf kit - too neat
Well built, easy to assemble and work with. However, it is too "new" looking, even painted and weathered. All the rails are straight, all the posts are vertical, none of the rails are broken or out of place. I broke/snapped/clipped/shaved and gouged FOREVER to get these close to what I believe a roughly used corral would look like.

Better than most
Unlike some companies who do log piles, WizKids took the time to mold bark and other small details that make this stand out from the competition. If they had made the pieces irregular in size and shape, like real wood have been, it would have earned 5 stars.
