The Best Spanish Textbook for Serious Students
This is, hands down, the best Spanish textbook I have ever found for advanced students. It covers all aspects of grammar (pronouns, articles, the subjunctive, verb classes, laws of agreement, etc.), spelling & punctuation, and pronunciation. Organization of topics is logical and coverage is thorough. The truly beautiful part, which raises this text to an art form, is the author's use of literary quotations to illustrate his points. 700 pages.
I acquired this additional copy of the textbook because my copy was in rather poor condition, and I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS BOOK IS OUT OF PRINT!!!

Too Bad It Only Ran One Season
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I LOVED this series! It's hard to find a comedy this laugh-out-loud funny in every episode. A perfect vehicle for wackily innocent (or is he?) John Lithgow, and Sherri Shepherd nails her character's odd (and hysterically funny) medical conditions. I adore how the humor is just laid out for you to discover on your own rather than hitting you over the head with it--GREAT writing, and an entertaining who-dun-it to boot!

Better Than "Spare Parts"
I had to get this documentary after seeing Hollywood's version of the story, "Spare Parts," to see just how much of the story was real. Well, the real story is actually better because the fictionalized account ends too soon. "Underwater Dreams" goes on to show the aftermath of the competition--the long-term effects on the students and the far-reaching effects on their school & local community. Well told!
