disappointing
I have seen other books by these authors, and many quilts so I was excited to get this book. From the cover you expect nature-inspired art quilts. Well. you don't get them!
Many of the designs are indeed garden-inspired, but focus on garden ORNAMENTS, not plants. So you have yet another folk art angel quilt on country colors. I love country colors, but that's not what I wanted in this book. There are in fact no art quilts other than the cover quilt.
With such wonderful photos, why not make quilts inspired by them? Captions would have been helpful as well, since many of the plants are unfamiliar to me.
I got a great deal on this book, otherwise I would have sent it back.

works perfectly, good price, get extras
These work as well as the ones at the service providers' stores, at a fraction of the price. I suspect they are the same ones, just coming direct from China rather than being marked up to add to Verizon's profits. I keep one at home, at work, and an extra in case I snag one in something and ruin the cord.

Good recipes if you can wade through the preaching
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I do like the book but could do without the puffed up preaching. Good recipes that generally work well with some tweaking. There are recipes using novelty flours like spelt as well. Nice to have with a bread machine.
