HP E327 5.0 Megapixel - Well worth the price.
My parents had one and I was impressed how great the picture quality was and how easy to use it was. Mind you, this is not a professional camera. It cannot zoom optically, but digitally a little. But, if you want a really good basic easy to use and really good quality camera to start with, I recomend this. I would have liked it better if it had a view finder that you can see though in addition to the digital display, but I really cannot complain as it makes up for it by also having a really cool video recorder that can record video/audio and it's so easy and quick to use.
A side note: Images sometimes blur a little if you don't have a steady hand, but that gets better the more steady the shots are. Use a tripod if this is an issue. I know my Dad took a few blury pictures, but if he had the patience to steady the shot a little better it would be ok... :)
