Vanguards / Corgi mk3 Escort Police car.
This little diecast is an excellent representation of the real thing. It is, I must say an adults collector model and as such wouldn't stand up to everyday rough play from a young child. Also the wing mirrors are detachable and the little radio ariel can come off easily. These would present a choking hazard to young children. If you like collecting small accurate models then this and its brand are definitely worth while.

Easy model A10 Warthog
This model is an excellent representation of the real aircraft and at 1/72 scale it's a very nice size. It is in fact a collector's model and not a toy as it is plastic and has easily breakable parts. It does state on the box recommended for 14+ years and I definitely wouldn't assume it would be ok for younger children. I'm very pleased with it especially if you're in a tight budget like myself it is without doubt worth the money.
