great for retrofit
This is a great decoder! I am retrofitting an old Athearn "blue box" locomotive and found that the motor pulls more than 1 amp. This decoder is perfect. It runs cool, with no problems.

A very good product. I used it to mask HO scale car windows for painting. It does a beautiful job.

Almost exact replacement
Exactly what I needed for the spot on my railroad. I did realize that the #4R switch with detachable motor does not have the same footprint as the #4R with the integrated motor. The curve track is slightly different.
