Outstanding quality and well built dreadnought acoustic at very good price point
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This is an outstanding example of a well designed, well built, no frills acoustic dreadnought. At the price point it retails at, it is a great value.
Mine came to me used in excellent structural and cosmetic shape. It has a gritty low end, clear mid range and sparkly trebles. It is very playable, up and down the neck, and mine came with perfectly set action and neck relief. There is plenty of room on the saddle, should I ever need to lower the action. I like the understated, satin finish much better than the heavily lacquered ones that seem to be the norm. And I actually prefer its unbound fret board.
Not sure how it stacks up to other dreadnoughts, size-wise, but this feels easier to hold and get your right arm around, compared to another I owned previously.
I did swap out the plastic bridge pins with bone, and did need to dress the fret ends a good bit, but otherwise have no other negatives to point out.
I'm very happy with this Alvarez AD30 and it looks to have shoved my other acoustics aside in the playing order.

Fairly sturdy, well designed guitar rack with good padding
I got this to store guitars in their cases, so the padding wasn't critical. But I can tell that it would protect any that weren't in a case. Easy to assemble and the basic frame seems tight and stable. It also has front feet that can be raised to tilt the whole thing back a little, so guitars lean backwards.
The only negative I found was the threads on the pegs don't seem to make a tight purchase when you spin them into the top rail [they keep turning without a hard stop]. So this results in the pegs being rather wobbly. This was of little consequence to me since I only used one end peg, but I could perhaps see it being a little problematic if you were storing uncased guitars.
This product worked for me, solved my storage problem, should last many years and was fairly inexpensive.

Decent single coil pickup with higher ouput than the generic one it replaced
Bought this to go in the bridge of a used telecaster clone that I had already put a Seymour Duncan Jazz humbucker neck PUP into. The existing brand X single coil in the bridge wasn't matching up with that hot neck PUP.
This Mighty Nite holds it own against the humbucker and also sounds pretty good on its own or when overdriven.
It met my needs and will be a keeper for the foreseeable future.
