Not as advertised

The item is new, as advertised, and the characters advertise, but the figures are a full inch smaller than the 3 inches in the description, coming in at just about 2 inches. As I want them to be compatible with ones we already have that are 3 inches, these won't do, besides being advertised incorrectly. I would never have ordered 2-inch figures.

Makes great chili!

I've used Chili Magic for years and suddenly couldn't find it at any local stores. It's easy to make great chili with this product, a can of diced tomatoes, and a pound of browned ground beef. Never had a guest who didn't love it!

Positive, overall

This is exactly the lantern I was looking for. I like the style and that the construction material is metal. The solar light feature works great. It comes on at dusk with a strong light that lasts for hours. Make sure you remove the tag protecting the battery. The instructions seem to be written as though the lantern comes with the top as a separate piece, so you have to remove the top, pull out the tag, and put the top back on. It's a simple process. To get the height I needed I had to use parts of both "shepherd hook" hangers - which are made up of short pieces that have to be connected. But my main goal was to have one for an area by my driveway, so the second one is backup - or I might find a placement for it using the stake. Make sure you look under the foam packing in the bottom, below the lanterns, as there are additional pieces packed there.
