Wouldn't be without at least a pair of platforms.
I have had two of these platforms years ago and would not use this ladder without one of these platforms. Working on an area with the ladder on four legs you can place the platform at the height you desire to work from. Pushing the platform in to be able to climb the ladder past the platform, i.e., one step above and with one foot slide the platform back to stand on it. The second platform is near the top and in an open position in order to hold tools, paint, etc. Wouldn't be without this platform. Note: it will work on extension ladders but do it with caution.
