Well built but needs some TLC to get it going.
This machine is as advertised. But...it is not well polished and refined out of the box. It takes some work and gentle love and care to get it going. I had to spend a good deal of time polishing various moving pieces, especially in the bobbin area, before it would even make a stitch. Do some research on the web before you buy one of these types of machines. Challenges and issues with these types of machines are well documented. Good news is that most of the "fixes" are also well documented. There are MANY You-tube videos that are very helpful in ironing out the bugs, lots of help is out there. I would buy the machine again because it is a good value, and it is built like a tank, very durable so far. Just understand that you have to be willing to invest some time in getting it going. I'd say this machine is not for a beginner with no sewing experience unless you have some pretty good mechanical abilities it will be difficult to get it going.
