Handy, easy to use protection
I needed dustcovers for a large custom slot-car-racing setup, so I looked at eBay listings and found this. Some types of clear sheeting end up clinging to itself, but this material and texture were easy to pull measured lengths from the box (folded 3' wide instead of 8'), easy to cut off, easy to unfold and drape over tables of racetrack, easy to lift off and set aside until needed again. Price was reasonable, delivery was quick, and it seems like it should last a long time in moderate use like mine. I also used 8' squares to cover my mountain bikes while garaged. (With no grommeted holes, it wouldn't work well for outdoor windy bike-covers.)

tight-radius 6"-radius 45-degree curved track
These fit inside the common, basic 9"-radius curve track for making four-lane racing setups. If you get the 12", 15", and 18" wide-radius curves, you can build a ten-lane course.

Handy detailer for model builders

But I find them more specifically useful when building car models, and particularly HO-scale slot racing cars such as Model Motoring or AFX. These fine-tipped markers make it easy to make bumpers, window surrounds, and other trim look like chrome. A few moments of this detailing really make cars look better and emphasize differences between cars.
